Subject: New York Mayor Stops Churchs from worship in Public Schools
| Dear Emmanuel, Because of one ruling against one small church in the Bronx, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has decreed that on February 12, 2012, all churches and fellowships meeting in public schools...160 in total... will be evicted. This decision is appalling and has potentially far-reaching effects. Cultural trends often spread from New York City to the rest of the country, and if this precedent is allowed to stand, this prohibition could spread to other states like a cancer. Think about all the churches across the country that could be at risk if Mayor Bloomberg’s decree is not reversed. Small churches from coast to coast may have to close their doors if they lose the freedom to rent space in public schools for their worship services. So what can we do about it? Watch our short response video to this blatant attack on religious liberty and stand with us by signing our letter of appeal to Mayor Bloomberg. We can not allow this decision to go unanswered! Please stand with us today! Thank you and God bless you and God bless America, | Jennifer Kennedy Cassidy Member of the Board of Directors | | | | | | | | | | |
